Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Mateusz Karpik and Jadwiga Nowacka, from the Bądkowo parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Jaranowo, No 11, 1857
This happened in the village of Bądkowo on the 6th of September, 1857, at 1 p.m. We declare, that in the presence of witnesses Mateusz Kmieciak, aged 40, a shepherd, and Wawrzyniec Błachowicz, aged 32, a watchman, both are residents in the village of Jaranowo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Mateusz Karpik, aged 25, single, a groom residing in the village of Jaranowo, the son of Maciej and Agnieszka Karpik nee Wiśniewska (incorrectly listed as Lewandowska), born in the village of Bądkowo,
and Jadwiga Nowacka, aged 24, single, a worker residing in the village of Jaranowo, the daughter of Jan and Marianna Nowacki nee Sobczak, born in the village of Święte – Koneck Parish.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Bądkowo Parish Church, on the 23rd and 30th of August, and the 6th of September, 1857. No impediments arose and the newlyweds stated that no martial agreement was made between them. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
Rev. Pietraszewski, Pastor of the Bądkowo Parish and Civil Registrar.
