This is my translation of the Polish language death record of Maciej Karpik, from the Bądkowo Parish.
Bądkowo, No. 36, 1848
This occurred in the village of Bądkowo, on the 4th of July, 1848, at 10 a.m. Appearing are witnesses Michał Więckowski, aged 50, a shoemaker, and Wincenty Szkołuda, aged 50, a farmer, both residents of the village of Bądkowo, and stated that on the 2nd of July, 1848, at 10 a.m., Maciej Karpik, aged 60, died. He was a groom residing in the village of Bądkowo. He leaves behind his wife Marianna Karpik nee Jąkalska, who resides in Bądkowo. After eyewitness testimony on the death of Maciej Karpik, this document was read to those present, who were illiterate, and signed by us.
