It was a Happy Thanksgiving!

This year, I was able to celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday with my extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins, …). It was a great time, with great food, drinks, and excellent company.
Before I arrived, my Aunt had told me that she had 3 bins full of old family pictures and that I should come over with my PC and scanner!!
The pictures were from the 1920’s – 1990’s. I was able to scan and sort through 1 1/2 of the 3 bins. I am going back this weekend to scan the rest. The pictures are a great find and I am very greatful that my Aunt let me scan them.
The picture below was taken around 1976-1977 and it includes me with my grandfather.
Another genealogy related find was the memory/guest book from my great-grandmother’s funeral (1951). There are 7 pages of guest names listed, with lots of family (Uncles, Aunts, Parents, Grandparents, and Cousins). This is a huge find that helps to tie together a lot of my research. Below is the front page of the Funeral Home book:
