I would like to participate in Sunday’s daily blogging theme called, “Sunday’s Obituary”. Below, I have transcribed the obituary of Stanley Kobs (my 2nd great grand Uncle). The obituary was listed in the Milwaukee Journal on Wednesday, October 9, 1957. The obituary is as follows:
Obituary of Stanley Kobs (October 9, 1957)
Kobs: Stanley, Oct. 7, of 2066 S. 7th st., beloved husband of Wanda Kobs (nee Swosinski), dear father of Eugene, Norbert, and Jean Muenzenberger; brother of Frank and Paul Kobs; also survived by 2 daughters-in-law, 1 son-in-law, 5 grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral from the Witkowiak Funeral Home, 1656 S. 5th st., Thurs., Oct. 10, at 8:30 a.m. Services at St. Stanislaus Church at 9 a.m. Internment St. Adalbert’s. In state Wed. after 2 p.m.
