October is Polish Heritage Month

As posted by Donna on the “What’s Past is Prologue” blog, http://pastprologue.wordpress.com/2008/09/30/the-polish-history-and-culture-challenge/, October is Polish Heritage Month. Because of this, I’d like to make posts this month on the Kujawy region of Poland. This is an area that I have ancestors from, but do not know as much as I’d like to about the region. The gminas that I am learning about from Kujawy are Zakrzewo, Aleksandrow Kujawski, and Koneck.
