Marriage of Łukasz Wojdyła and Marianna Jaszczak (1816)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Łukasz Wojdyła and Marianna Jaszczak from the Straszewo Parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Seroczki, No. 4, 1816

This happened on October 27th, 1816. Before Us, Rev. Kuczkowski, the undersigned Registrar of Vital Records of the District of Straszewo, Radziejów County, Mazowieckie Province:

Łukasz Wojdyła appeared, aged 25,

as well as Marianna Jaszczak, single.

The parties who appeared request that we proceed with the celebration of the wedding they have arranged between them, the announcement of which was published before the main doors of our District Court, that is on the 13th and 20th of October, 1816, at 12 p.m. When we were not informed of any obstacles to the aforementioned marriage, and the parents here in attendance hereby consent, acquiescing to the aforementioned request, after reading to the parties and witnesses all the aforementioned papers and Section Six of the Civil Code regarding marriage, we asked the future husband and future wife whether they wished to join with each other in marital union, and when each of them responded separately that such is their wish, we proclaim in the name of the law that Łukasz Wojdyła, single, and Marianna Jaszczak, single, are joined in the bonds of matrimony.

Of which we recorded this record in the presence of: Józef Bryl and Michał Modrzejewski. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by us who can write, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
