Jan Jach Obituary 3-12-1927
John Yach, who served for nine years as clerk of the town of Dewey but who had been a resident of Stevens Point for the past 14 years, died at 10 o’clock this afternoon.
Mr. Yach was taken to the hospital four months ago, suffering with an infection in one of his legs, but the poison could not be checked.
Deceased was a native of Sharon township and had always lived in Portage county. He was twice married, his second wife being Miss Verona Selbraczekowski, who survives him, as do also a daughter and two sons, Miss Emily and Nick Yach of this city and Stanley Yach of Milwaukee. He also leaves four brothers and two sisters, Julius of Rhinelander, Leo of Stevens Point, Frank of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, and Jack of Rhinelander, Mrs. Paul Salewski of Milwaukee.
Mr. Yach was 58 years of age last November 15th and lived in Dewey for 20 years before disposing of his farm and moving to this city. He was employed at the Mitchell flour mill here for a considerable time.
The funeral will be held from St. Peter’s church at 8 o’clock Tuesday morning, with interment in the parish cemetery.
