Szczepan Tobiasz Family – Research Summary Part II
Hello,
I would like to summarize the records that I’ve found so far, for Szczepan Tobiasz. All the records are from the Kujawy area of Poland. The present day locations are in Gmina Inowrocław, Gmina Dąbrowa Biskupia, and Gmina Bądkowo, all within Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. The information is derived from the listed records below and from records of various family members not listed. All updates since my post titled, Szczepan Tobiasz Family – Research Summary Part I, are highlighted in yellow or starred “*”.
- Baptism of Szczepan Tobiasz (1828).
- Marriage of Szczepan Tobiasz and Małgorzata Tokarska (1859).
- Marriage of Walenty Cieślak and Małgorzata Tobiasz nee Tokarska (1861)*
Szczepan Tobiasz was born in the village of Szrubsk (1), on December 21, 1828, to his parents Stanisław Tobiasz and Agnieszka Buszka. Before 1838, his parents and family moved back to the village of Dulsk (2). Sometime before April 1845, the Stanisław and Agnieszka Tobiasz family moved from the Prussian village Dulsk (or one the surrounding villages) to the Russian village of Krotoszyn (3).
Szczepan Tobiasz would move to the Prussian village of Konary (4) to find work as a peasant laborer. On September 4, 1859, in the village of Pieranie (5), he married Małgorzata Tokarska. On March 24, 1860, Szczepan would die in the village of Konary. He left his wife, Małgorzata, and possibly a child behind.
Małgorzata Tobiasz nee Tokarska would move to the village of Bieganowo (6), in the near by parish of Byczyna, sometime before November 1861. She would remarry on November 24, 1861, to Walenty Cieślak, a horse-groom, who also resided in Bieganowo.
As I find more records of Szczepan and his family, I will add updates.
