Slownik Geograficzny Translations of the Aleksandrow-Kujawski Powiat

Hello,

In 2008, I had undergone an attempt to research and translate information from Polish websites of gminas (municipalities) within the Aleksandrow-Kujawski powiat (administrative district). The posts were all part of my Kujawy series of posts that were written for the 2008 Polish History and Culture Challenge. This challenge was hosted by Donna from What’s Past is Prologue blog. This year, I am going to start a new project to translate the entries for the villages and towns, in the Slownik Geograficzny, that are located in the gmina’s of the Aleksandrow-Kujawski powiat. I would like to continue through other powiats and gminas that I have been researching, but I think I will initially minimize the scope of the project to the Aleksandrow-Kujawski powiat.

The first gmina within the Aleksandrow-Kujawski powiat that I will be translating is the Zakrzewo gmina. Please look for my upcoming posts for these translations from the Slownik Geograficzny.
