Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Antoni Smyk and Marianna Żywica, from the Sędzin parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Kuczkowo, No. 11, 1837
This happened in the village of Sędzin on the 2nd of December, 1837, at 4 p.m. We declare, that in the presence of: Łukasz Żywica, aged 31, a farm owner, and Ignacy Pawlaczyk, aged 25, a farm owner, both residing in Kuczkowo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Antoni Smyk, aged 33, single, a shepherd residing in Kuczkowo, the son of the late Kazimierz – who died in Młeczkowo – and his widow Michalina Smyk, born in the village of Szałonki,
and Marianna Pawlak nee Żywica, aged 25, a widow – her previous husband died in February 1837, residing in Kuczkowo, the daughter of the deceased couple Wojciech and Zofia Żywica- who were farm owners in Kuczkowo, born in the village of Kuczkowo.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, one reading at the Sędzin Parish church, on the 12th, 19th, and 26th of November, 1837. Oral consent was given by the families who were present for the wedding and no impediments arose. No prenuptial agreement was made by the newlyweds. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
