Marriage of Franciszek Wisniewski and Katarzyna Wawrzyniak (1871)

This is my translation of the Russian language marriage record of Franciszek Wiśniewski and Katarzyna Wawrzyniak, from the Straszewo parish.

Zakrzewo, No. 14, 1871

This happened in the village of Straszewo, on the 25th of November, 1871, at 10 a.m. We declare in the presence of: Jan Wesołowski, aged 45, and Franciszek Nowak, aged 46, both are laborers residing in Zakrzewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Franciszek Wiśniewski, aged 24, single, a laborer residing in Zakrzewo, the son of the late Kacper and his widow Józefa Wiśniewski, born in Zakrzewo,

and Katarzyna Wawrzyniak, aged 20, single, residing in Zakrzewo, the daughter of the deceased Jan and his widow Łucja Wawrzyniak, born in Zakrzewo.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Straszewo Parish church on the 5th, 12th, and 19th of November, 1871. No impediments arose and the families gave their approvals. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
