Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Benedykt Lewandowski and Franciszka Pankowska nee Wojdyła, from the Straszewo parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Zakrzewo, No. 8, 1831
This happened in the village of Straszewo on the 17th of November, 1831, at 12 p.m. We declare in the presence of: Paweł Melczarek and Melchior Kochanowski, both aged over 50 and farm owners residing in Zakrzewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Benedykt Lewandowski, aged 50, a widower, a laborer residing in Zakrzewo, his previous wife Ełżbieta died on the 27th of April, 1831, he was born in Wola Zakrzewo, the son the deceased couple Tomasz and Anna Lewandowski,
and Franciszka Pankowska, aged 50, a widow, a laborer residing in Zakrzewo, her previous husband Wojciech died on the 26th of February, 1826, she was born in the village of Chrustowo, her parents are deceased.
Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Straszewo Parish church on the 23rd and 30th of October, and the 6th of November, 1831. No impediments arose and the families gave their approvals. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
Rev. Jakób Kolęda, Pastor of the Straszewo Parish and Civil Registrar.
