Baptism of Jozef Matusiak (1839)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Józef Matusiak, from the Straszewo parish.

Zakrzewo, No. 64, 1839

This occurred in the village of Straszewo, on the 24th of November, 1839, at 3 p.m. Jóżef Matuszak, aged 43, Catholic, a farm owner residing in the village of Zakrzewo, appeared in the presence of: Roch Kowalczyk, aged 30, and Mateusz Walczak, aged 56, both are farm owners residing in the village of Zakrzewo, and showed Us a male child born in the village of Zakrzewo, house #9, on the 21st of November, 1839, at 2 p.m., to his lawful wife, Agata nee Nowak, aged 35. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Józef. The Godparents were: Krzysztof Matuszak and Franciszka Walczak. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by Us alone.
