Baptism of Marcin Grzelak (1827)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Marcin Grzelak, from the Radziejów parish.

Opatowice No. 95, 1827

This occurred in the town of Radziejów, on the 11th of November, 1827, at 12 p.m. Jakób Grzelak appeared, aged 44, a farm owner residing in the village of Opatowice, in the presence of Michał Jakubiak, aged 43, a farm owner residing in the village Płowice, and Józef Banaszak, aged 35, a farm owner residing in the village of Opatowice, and showed us a male child born in the village of Opatowice, on the 11th of November, 1827, at 2 a.m., to his lawful wife Marianna nee Maciejak, aged 26. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Marcin. The godparents were: Michał Jakubiak and Rozalia Banaszak, who is from Opatowice. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
