This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Józefa Bielawska, from the Chełmno Parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Chełmno, 1811
Act of birth of Józefa, daughter of Filip Bielawski.
This is the legal statement of the birth of a child made by the father.
On the 7th of May, 1811, at 8 a.m., before Us, the Administrator and Civil Registrar of Chełmno, performing the duties of the Registrar of Vital Records for the District of Chełmno, Łęczyca County, Warszawa Province, Filip Bielawski appeared, aged 35, a master chef residing in Chełmno, and presented Us a female child, which was born in house #1, on the 6th of May, 1811, at 2 p.m., to his lawful wife Agata Pakuła, aged 26. At Holy Baptism, administered on this day, this child was given the name of Józefa. He made the above statement and showed Us the child, in the presence of witnesses: Franciszek Piorecki, aged 36, residing in Chełmno, and Franciszek Adamczewski, aged 40, a master gardener residing in Chełmno. After which this Birth Record was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by Us alone.
