Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Roch Kowalczyk and Łucja Nowak, from the Sędzin parish.
Sędzin, No. 3, 1829
This happened in the village of Sędzin on the 25th of July, 1829, at 9 a.m. We declare, that in the presence of: Bartłomiej Balcerek, aged 30, and Franciszek Pokorski, aged 68, farm owners residing in the village of Sędzin, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Roch Kowalczyk, aged 30, single, a farmhand residing in Sędzin, the son of Jacek – a steward – and Katarzyna Kowalczyk nee Musiał? – residing in Sędzin, born in the village of Sędzin,
and Łucja Nowak, aged 25, single, a worker residing in Sędzin, the daughter of the deceased couple Antoni and Agnieszka Nowak nee Kluczek (possibly Klocek) – farm owners who resided in Przybysław – Powiat Inowrocław, born in the village of Przybysław.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Sędzin Parish church, on the 21st and 28th of June, and the 5th of July, 1829. No impediments arose. The newlyweds stated that no martial agreement was made between them. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
