Marriage of Jan Wesolowski and Wiktoria Kochanowska (1850)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Jan Wesołowski and Wiktoria Kochanowska, from the Straszewo parish.
Zakrzewo, No. 15, 1850
This happened in the village of Straszewo, on the 16th of November, 1850, at 2 p.m. We declare in the presence of: Jakób Gajdy, a laborer residing in Zakrzewo, and Jakób Trojanowski, a farmer residing in Straszewo, both are aged over 56, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Jan Wesołowski, aged 25, Catholic, single, a farmhand residing in the village of Zakrzewo, the son of Wawrzyniec – a laborer residing in Zakrzewo, and the late Teresa Wesołowski nee Swiątek, born in the village of Pieranie – Kingdom of Prussia,
and Wiktoria Kochanowska, aged 18, Catholic, single, residing with her parents in Zakrzewo, the daughter of Stanisław – an estate guard – and Marcianna Kochanowski nee Małkowska, born in the village of Zakrzewo.
Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Straszewo Parish church on the 27th of October, the 3rd and 10th of November, 1850. No impediments arose and the families gave their approvals. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
Rev. Jakób Kolęda, Pastor of the Straszewo Parish and Civil Registrar.
