Baptism of Walenty Kacprzak (1843)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Walenty Kacprzak, from the Ostrowąż parish.

Kijowiec, No. 9, 1843

This occurred in the village of Ostrowąż, on the 25th of January/5th of February, 1843, at 1 p.m. Stanisław Kacprzak appeared, aged 30, a tenant farmer residing in the village of Kijowiec, in the presence of: Jakób Szymczak, aged 40, a tenant farmer residing in the village of Nieborzyn; and Franciszek Poch, aged 23, a farmhand residing in the village of Ślesin, and showed Us a male child born in the village of Kijowiec, on the 22nd of January/3rd of February, 1843, at 12 a.m., to his lawful wife Marianna nee Paluszak (alias Pawlak), aged 35. At Holy Baptism performed this day, this child was given the name Walenty. The godparents were: Jakób Szymczak and Marianna Czerwińska. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by Us alone.
