Marriage of Wojciech Nowak and Katarzyna Wisniewska (1895)

This happened in the village of Straszewo on the 11th/23rd of November, 1895, at 4 p.m. We declare in the presence of Jan Lewandowski, age 42, and Ignacy Matusiak, age 32, both farmers from Zakrzewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Wojciech Nowak, age 22, a bachelor, born and resident of Zakrzewo, residing with his parent in Zakrzewo, son of the late Mateusz, a resident of Zakrzewo, and his housewife Maryanna Pankowska

and Katarzyna Wiśniewska, age 29, a widower of husband, Jan Wiśniewski, who died on the 1st/13th of March, 1893. She was born in Kalinowiec, parish of Bądkowo, and is a resident of Zakrzewo, the daughter of Józef and Teofila Katkowski nee Borowicka, in the service and residing in Zakrzewo.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the the local parish church, on 28th of October/9th of November, 4th/16th of November, and the 11th/23rd of November 1895. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This religious ceremony of marriage was performed by Reverend Skórczyński, Straszewo pastor and parish administrator. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
