Marriage of Jakob Nowak and Jadwiga Paczkowska (1895)

This happened in the village of Straszewo on the 22nd of October/3rd of November, 1895, at 5 p.m. We declare in the presence of Jan Lewandowski, age 42, and Ignacy Matusiak, age 32, both farmers from Zakrzewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Jakób Nowak, age 26, a bachelor, born and resident in Zakrzewo, residing with his mother in Zakrzewo, son of the late Mateusz, a resident of Zakrzewo, and Maryanna nee Pankowska

and Jadwiga Paczkowska, age 18, single, she was born in and resides with her parents in Zakrzewo, the daughter of Józef and Walentyna Paczkowski nee Maciejewska who are from Zakrzewo.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the the local parish church, on the 8th/20th of October, the 15th/27th of October, and the 22nd of October/3rd of November, 1895. The newlyweds stated that they had made a prenuptial agreement between them on the 16th/28th of October, 1895, at the notary in Radziejów. Permission was given before entering this marriage by the brides family. This religious ceremony of marriage was performed by Reverend Jan Skórczyński, Straszewo pastor and parish administrator. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
