Marriage of Jozef Nowakowski and Katarzyna Lawniczak nee Gorzycka (1856)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Józef Nowakowski and Katarzyna Ławniczak nee Gorzycka, from the Bytoń parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Osipowo, No. 8, 1856
This happened in Bytoń, on the 23rd of August, 1856, at 10 a.m. We declare in the presence of: Jan Piechocki, aged 56, a church laborer at the Bytoń Parish, and Andrzej Pawłowski, aged 33, a farm owner residing in Oszczywilk, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Józef Nowakowski, aged 24, single, a laborer residing in the village of Kaczewo, the son of the deceased couple Wawrzyniec and Julianna Nowakowski nee Lewandowska, born in the village of Kaczewo,
and Katarzyna Ławniczak nee Gorzycka, aged 22, a widow – her previous husband Walenty Ławniczak died on the 16th of October, 1855, in the village of Osipowo, the daughter of Antoni and the deceased Małgorzata Gorzycki nee Pilachowska, born in the village of Płowki.
Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Bytoń and Piotrków Parish Churches, on the 20th and 27th of July, and the 3rd of August, 1856. No impediments arose. No prenuptial agreement was made between the newlyweds. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
Rev. Jezierski, Pastor of the Bytoń and Civil Registrar.
Best Regards,
