Marriage of Jakob Iglewski and Agnieszka Gorzycka (1845)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Jakób Iglewski and Agnieszka Gorzycka, from the Broniewo parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Płowki, No 2, 1845
This happened in the village of Broniewo on the 2nd of February, 1845, at 2 p.m. We declare, that in the presence of Mikołaj Dembowy, aged 31, and Jan Pilachowski, aged 45, both are farm owners residing in the village of Płowki, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Jakób Iglewski, aged 29, single, a laborer, born and residing in the village of Skotniki, the son of the deceased Jan and his widow Katarzyna Iglewski,
and Agnieszka Gorzycka, aged 18, single, born and residing in the village of Płowki, the daughter of Antoni and the deceased Małgorzata Gorzycki.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Broniewo and Piaski Parish churches, on the 19th and 26th of January, and the 2nd of February, 1845. Permissions were given orally by the newlyweds surviving parents. No impediments arose. A prenuptial agreement was made at the request of the bride’s father and was recorded at the Radziejów District Court. After the marriage, the couple would receive the farm owned by Antoni Gorzycki. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
