Marriage of Walenty Karpik and Katarzyna Modrak (1862)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Walenty Karpik and Katarzyna Modrak, from the Kobielice parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Michałowo, No. 4, 1862
This happened in the village of Kobielice on the 23rd of January, 1862, at 1 p.m. We declare, that in the presence of witnesses Walenty Kurowski, aged 28, and Walenty Churawa, aged 44, both are laborers residing in Michałowo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Walenty Karpik, aged 24, single, a groom residing in Michałowo, born in Bądkowo, the son of the late Maciej and Marianna Karpik,
and Katarzyna Modrak, aged 27, single, a worker residing in Michałowo, born in Marcinkowo – Kingdom of Prussia, the daughter of Józef and Marianna Modrak.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Kobielice Church, on the 5th, 12th, and 19th of January, 1862. No impediments arose and the newlyweds stated that no martial agreement was made between them. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
Rev. Przeciechowski, Pastor of the Kobielice Parish and Civil Registrar.
