Jan Sobczak, aged 35, a widower, his previous wife was named Franciszka, a laborer residing in Popowiec, the son of Tomasz and Franciszka, born in the village of Czaminin,
and Antonina Świtek, aged 26, a widow, her previous husband Józef died in Bytoń in 1856, a laborer residing in the village of Bytoń, daughter of Maciej and Agnieszka Karpik, born in the village of Łowiczek.
Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Bytoń Parish Church on the 1st, 8th, and 15th of November, 1857. No impediments arose. No prenuptial agreement was made between the newlyweds. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
