Baptism of Michal Karpik (1828)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Michał Karpik, from the Siniarzewo parish.

Siniarzewo, No. 25, 1828

This occurred in the village of Siniarzewo on the 21st of September, 1828, at 3 p.m. Maciej Karpik (spelled as Karpicz) appeared, aged 36, a Catholic, a foreman in the Siniarzewo Estate, residing in the village of Siniarzewo, in the presence of Andrzej Zaręba, aged 36, a laborer, and Gasper Małkowski, aged 32, a blacksmith, both residents of the village of Siniarzewo, and showed us a male child born in the village of Siniarzewo, on the 19th of September, 1828, at 7 p.m., to his lawful wife Agnieszka nee Wiśniewska, aged 28, a Catholic. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Michał. The godparents were: Gasper Małkowski and Franciszka Królczewska. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
