Baptism of Wawrzyniec Deręgowski (1842)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Wawrzyniec Deręgowski, from the Piotrków Kujawski parish.

Palczewo, No. 48, 1842

This occurred in the village of Piotrków, on the 7th of August, 1842, at 10 a.m. Maciej Deręgowski appeared, aged 28, a farm owner residing in Palczewo, in the presence of Józef Majchrowicz, aged 20, a farmer, and Marcin Głowacki, aged 27, a farm owner, both residing in Palczewo, and showed us a male child born in Palczewo, on the 1st of August, 1842, at 5 p.m., to his lawful wife Wiktoria nee Pietrasiak, aged 24. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Wawrzyniec. The godparents were: Józef Majchrowicz and Józefa Głowacka. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
