This is my translation of the Russian language death record of Maciej Deręgowski, from the Piotrków Kujawski parish.
Gradowo, No. 8, 1883
This occurred in the village of Piotrków, on the 11th/23rd of January, 1883, at 10 a.m. Appearing are witnesses Franciszek Szymczak, aged 40, and Walenty Kiciński, aged 40, both are farmers in Gradowo, and stated that in Gradowo, on the 8th/20th of January, 1883, at 7 a.m., Maciej Deręgowski, aged 2, died. He was born in Kaczewo, the son of Wincenty and Zuzanna Deręgowski nee Gorzycka (note: the document incorrectly lists her maiden name as Banaszkiewicz). After eyewitness testimony on the death of Maciej Deręgowski, this document was read to those present, who were illiterate, and signed by us.
