Baptism of Jozef Deregowski (1879)

This is my translation of the Russian language baptismal record of Józef Deręgowski, from the Piotrków Kujawski parish.

Rogalin, No. 11, 1879

This occurred in the village of Piotrków, on the 28th of January/9th of February, 1879, at 3 p.m. Wincenty Deręgowski appeared, aged 40, residing in the settlement of Rogalin, in the presence of Kazimierz Deręgowski, aged 40, a farmer in the village of Higieniewo, and Filip Segit, aged 46, a farmer residing in Rogalin, and showed us a male child born in the settlement of Rogalin, on the 28th of January/9th of February, 1879, at 7 a.m., to his lawful wife Zuzanna nee Gorzycka, aged 23. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Józef. The godparents were: Kazimierz Deręgowski and Ełżbieta Segit. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
