A village in powiat Nieszawa, gmina Lubanie, and belongs to the Zbrachlin Parish. There are 326 inhabitants. Waganiec is located in the area of the Warszawa to Bydgoszcz railway station. Waganiec is a distance of 3 verst from the city of Nieszawa. In 1827, the 1st part had 18 homes with 129 inhabitants. The 2nd part had 9 homes with 66 inhabitants.
In 1887, the Waganiec folwark had a total land area of 756 morg: 619 morg of garden and cultivated land, 22 morg of meadows, 83 morg of forests, and 32 morg of unused barren land. There were 14 brick buildings and 8 wooden buildings. There is a windmill and deposits of peat. The village of Waganiec had 58 settlements with 306 inhabitants.
According to the Regency records of powiat Brześć, in 1587, the village was named Wagancze and belonged to the Sbrachlino Parish. Kościelski paid for 1 łan of land and 2 crofts; Zakrzewska paid for 3 łan of land and 2 crofts, while Jan Nieszczewski had a portion excluding what the peasants had; and Waganiecki and Broniewski had paid for 2 łan of land (Pawiński, Wielkp., II, 7, 14).
