Stare Połajewo is a village and folwark. Nowe Połajewo is a village and episcopal settlement. Both are located in powiat Nieszawa, gmina Ruszkowo, and belong to the Połajewo Parish. Stare Połajewo has 236 inhabitants, 813 morg of land for the estate and 94 morg of land for the peasants. In 1827, there were 13 homes with 94 inhabitants. Nowy Połajewo has 146 inhabitants and 213 morg of land for the peasants. The Połajewo Parish church existed since the 17th century. The current brick church that is dedicated to St. Troy was completed in 1818, by the then estate heir Wojciech Sokołowski. According to the Regency records of gmina Radziejów, in 1557 and 1566, Połajewo major belonged to the Połajewo Parish and was the property of Szymon Grabski, and had 8 łan of land, 2 crofts and 1 tenant farmer. Połajewo minor was owned by Andrzej Kaczkowski and had 8 łan of land and 2 crofts (Pawiński, Wielkp., II, 32).
The Połajewo Parish belongs to the Nieszawa Deanery and has 1280 souls. In 1867, the Połajewo estate was comprised of the Połajewo folwark. The village of Połajewo was comprised of the following villages: Połajewo, Połajewek, Przedłuż, and Marianowo. The Połajewo estates’ land area totals 1826 morg, including the following: 940 morg of garden and cultivated land, 69 morg of meadows, 60 morg of pasture, 382 morg of forest, 375 morg of barren unused land. The village of Połajewo had 47 settlements and 307 morg of cultivated land. The village of Połajewek had 14 settlements and 216 morg of cultivated land. The village of Przedłuż had 18 settlements and 130 morg of cultivated land. The village of Marianowo had 12 settlements and 109 morg of cultivated land.
