Marriage of Jozef Kacprzak and Franciszka Czapska (1873)

This is my translation of the Russian language marriage record of Józef Kacprzak and Franciszka Czapska, from the Sędzin parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Wola Bachorna, No 1, 1873

This happened in the village of Sędzin on the 1st/13th of January, 1873, at 9 a.m. We declare, that in the presence of Jan Kuźba, aged 32, and Antoni Świercz, aged 34, both are farmers residing in Wola Bachorna, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Józef Kacprzak, aged 35, widower, a farmer residing in Wola Bachorna, his previous wife died in Wola Bachorna, on the 11th/23rd of December, 1872. He was born in Ostrowąż, the son of the deceased couple Stanisław and Marianna Kacprzak.

and Franciszka Czapska, aged 19, resides with her family in Wola Bachorna, the daughter of Jan and Marianna Czapski nee Szczepańska, born in Łojewo, Prussian Kingdom.

The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Sędzin Parish church, on the 17th/29th of December, 1872, the 24th of December, 1872/5th of January, 1873, and the 31st of December, 1872/12th of January, 1873. Oral consent was given by the groom’s mother. No impediments arose. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
