Baptism of Wincenty Gorzycki (1856)

This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Wincenty Gorzycki, from the Radziejów parish.

Kolonia Opatowice No. 45, 1856

This occurred in the town of Radziejów, on the 9th of July, 1856, at 7 p.m. Filip Gorzycki appeared, aged 35, a peasant colonist residing in Kolonia Opatowice, in the presence of Antoni Banaszkiewicz, aged 40, and Wojciech Mikołajczak, aged 60, both peasant colonists residing in Kolonia Opatowice, and showed us a male child born in Kolonia Opatowice, on the 9th of July, 1856, at 4 a.m., to his lawful wife Marianna nee Grzelak, aged 35. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Wincenty. The godparents were: Walenty Karczmarek and Zuzanna Banaszkiewicz. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
