This is my translation of the Polish language baptismal record of Jadwiga Gorzycka, from the Radziejów parish.
Kolonia Opatowice No. 84, 1849
This occurred in the town of Radziejów, on the 18th of October, 1849, at 5 p.m. Filip Gorzycki appeared, aged 25, resident of Kolonia Opatowice, in the presence of Antoni Gorzycki, aged 50, and Józef Banaszkiewicz, aged 61, both are farm owners in Kolonia Opatowice, and showed us a female child born in Kolonia Opatowice, on the 12th of October, 1849, at 5 a.m., to his lawful wife Marianna nee Grzelak, aged 25. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Jadwiga. The godparents were: Jan Rydzak and Zuzanna Banaszkiewicz. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
