Marriage of Walenty Michalak and Marianna Grzelak (1842)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Walenty Michalak and Marianna Grzelak, from the Radziejów parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Opatowice No. 27, 1842,

This happened in the town of Radziejów, on the 21st of November, 1842, at 11 a.m. We declare in the presence of Kacper Gralik, aged 30, and Teodor Grzelak, aged 36, both farmers residing in the village of Opatowice, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Walenty Michalak, single, aged 19, a Catholic, a farmer born and residing in the village of Opatowice, son of Wawrzyniec and Tekla Michalak, both farmer owners,

and Marianna Grzelak, single, aged 19, daughter of Jakób and Marianna Grzelak, both are farm owners residing in the village of Opatowice.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Radziejów parish church, on the 30th of October, the 6th and the 13th of November, 1842. Oral consent was given by the families. No impediment occurred and no prenuptial agreement was made between the newlyweds. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
