Marriage of Filip Gorzycki and Marianna Grzelak (1845)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Filip Gorzycki and Marianna Grzelak, from the Radziejów parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Opatowice No. 9, 1845,
This happened in the town of Radziejów, on the 29th of July, 1845, at 7 a.m. We declare in the presence of Walenty Siewiczski, an organist at the parish church, aged 36, and Mikołaj Męczkowski, aged 60, (can’t read the occupation, but I believe it has to do with the church), both residents in the town of Radziejów, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Filip Gorzycki, single, aged 23, son of Antoni and the late Małgorzata Gorzycki nee Pilachowska (Małgorzata died in the village of Broniewo), the father is a farm owner who resides in the village of Opatowice,
and Marianna Michalak nee Grzelak, a widow, aged 23, daughter of Jakób and the late Marianna Grzelak nee Maciejak, the father is a farm owner residing in the village of Opatowice.
Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Radziejów parish church, on the 6th, 12th, and 19th of May, 1845, and at the Bronewo parish church on the 6th, 12th, and 20th of July, 1845. No impediment occurred and no prenuptial agreement was made between the newlyweds. The ceremony of marriage was performed by Rev. Kwiatkowski. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
Rev. Ignacy Podlewski, Pastor of the Radziejów Parish and Civil Registrar.
Best Regards,
Al
