Marriage of Michał Woźniak and Ewa Kotaś (1892)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Russian language marriage record of Michał Woźniak and Ewa Kotaś, from the Bronisław parish. Any errors are completely my own.
Koszczały No 4, 1892
This happened in the village of Bronisław on the 25th of October/6th of November, 1892, at 4 p.m. We declare, that is the presence of witnesses Franciszek Kołata, aged 26, and Kazimierz Urbański, aged 60, both peasants residing in the village of Koszczały, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Michał Woźniak, single, aged 26, a peasant laborer, residing in Krzywosądz, born in Smarglin, son of the late couple Mateusz and Marianna Woźniak nee Tobiasz,
and Ewa Kotaś, aged 28, residing and born in the village of Koszczały, the daughter of the late Jan and his widow Julianna Kotaś nee Marciniak who resides in the village of Koszczały.
The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, at the Bronisław and Krzywosądz Parish Churches, on the 4th/16th, 11th/23rd, and 18th/30th of October, 1892. Permission was given by the bride’s mother. The newlyweds stated that a marital agreement was made and it was contracted by the bride. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
Pastor of the Bronisław Parish and Civil Registrar.
