Marriage of Andrzej Tobiasz and Michalina Sobocińska (1881)

This is my translation of the Russian language marriage record of Andrzej Tobiasz and Michalina Sobocińska, from the Koneck parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Swięte, No 14 1881

This happened in Koneck on the 19th/31st of June 1881, at 1 p.m. We declare, that in 1881, in the presence of Marcin Kornaszewski, aged 40, and Antoni Kulpa, aged 30, an estate owner in Swięte, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Andzrej Tobiasz, single, born in village of Adolfin, a domestic worker and resident in the village of Swięte, son of the late Ignacy and Zofia nee Karpik, aged 20,

and Michalina Sobocińska, a maiden, born in the village of Janówka, a resident of the village of Swięte, the daughter of Bartłomiej and Marianna nee Wesołowska, aged 22.


The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns at the church, on the 5th/17th, 12th/24th, and 19th/31st of June 1881. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
