1) A village and colony located in powiat Nieszawa, gmina Sędzin, and belongs to the Byczyna Parish. The III district administrative court and post office are in Radziejów, which is a distance of 7 verst, it is 10 verst from Osięciny, and 22 verst from Nieszawa. The Byczyna colony has an open area of 658 morgs, and has houses and 32 settlements. The Byczyna folwark has 465 morgs of land, within that there are: 330 morgs of arable land (with 1/2 of that wheat), 26 morgs of meadows, 48 morgs of pasture, 7 morgs of gardens, 30 morgs of forests, and 24 morgs of unused barren land. There was a 12 field crop rotation.
In 1827, there were 27 homes with 204 inhabitants. The village previously belonged to the estate of the Bishop of Włoclawek. The old wooden church was dedicated to St. Aleks and St. Jadwiga. After the destruction of the first church, in 1684, the Bishop Włocławek, erected a new church, and this soon deteriorated. In about 1780, Florjan Pajerski, a Kruszwica scholastic and also a local rector, erected a new church that is still standing. Presently a new brick church is being built. There was also a hospital funded, but without a fixed salary. The Byczyna Parish belongs to the Nieszawa Deanery, previously the Radziejów Deanery. Listed are 1884 souls.
