1.) The German name is Lendi. It is a peasant village located in powiat Chojnice, It is surrounding a sandy and wooded area by a small lake. The village is near the border of powiat Kościerzyna. The total area consists of 4519 morgs of land, with 40 buildings and 16 houses. There are 103 Catholics and 21 Evangelical Protestants. The village belongs to the Leśno Parish. The school is located in Windorp and the post office is in Brusy.
When the village belonged to Poland, it was the property of the Tuchola starostwo (village foreman). In reports from 1662 and the same Tuchola starostwo: Lendy was located in the wilderness and did not have any farm land, but 7 gardens (small farms) and 1 village mayor. Together they gave the annual rent of 7 złoty and 4 gardens were obligated to commit 2 guards in turn for the forest in the wilderness and the Lipinski beehives. Kś. F.
