Pawel Pluskota Family – Research Summary Part 1

I would like to summarize the records that I’ve found so far, for my 2x great grandfather Paweł Pluskota. All the records are from the Kujawy area of Poland. The present day locations are in Gmina Zakrzewo, Gmina Aleksandrów Kujawski, and Gmina Bądkowo, all within Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. The information is derived from the listed records below.

On June 28, 1862, Paweł Pluskota was born to his parents Szczepan Pluskota and Urszula Nadzieja, in the village of Wysocinek (1). Paweł would later move to the village of Sędzin (2) and work as a laborer. He would marry to his wife, Rozalia Bielawska, in the Sędzin Folwark, on October 20, 1881. Rozalia was a maid and resided in the Sędzin Folwark. The couple would reside in the village of Sędzin.

The couple would have their first child, Wincenty, on March 6, 1883, in the village of Sędzin. Antoni Bielawski was listed as a godparent and could be a sibling of Rozaia Bielawska (more research is needed to verify the relationship). After this time, Paweł moved the family north to the village of Podgaj (3). On September 13, 1885, the couple had a daughter named Michalina.

By 1888, the family moved to the village of Zakrzewo (4), where their son Józef was born. Józef was born on June 12, 1888. Paweł worked as a laborer. The family would be on the move again by 1891 and would become residents of the village of Sinki (5). The couple gave birth to a son named Wawrzyniec, on July 26, 1891. During the time that the population registers were taken in Powiat Nieszawa, the family moved back to Sędzin.

As a day laborer, Paweł moved his family multiple times throughout Powiat Nieszawa. Due to these movements, it is a bit complicated to track down all of the birth, marriage, or death records for this family. It seems more likely that I will stumble onto a record while doing other research in the same areas. As I do find more records, I’ll add them to the summary.
