Marriage of Walenty Pakuła and Marianna Kierniak (1831)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Walenty Pakuła and Marianna Kierniak, from the Lisków Parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Lisków, 1831, No. 2

This happened in the village of Lisków, on the 23rd of January, 1831, at 10 a.m., in the presence of witnesses: Wawrzyniec Kliber, aged 37, and Mateusz Bruż, aged 45, both are farm owners residing in Lisków, a religious marriage was contracted today between:

Walenty Pakuła, aged 26, single, a farm hand residing with his family in Lisków, the son of Paweł and Katarzyna Pakuła, born in the village of Lisków,

and Marianna Kierniak, aged 25, single, residing with her brother in Lisków, the daughter of Wojciech and Marianna Kierniak, born in the village of Lisków.

The wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns, on the 9th, 16th, and the 23rd of January, 1831, at the Lisków Parish Church. No impediment to the marriage arose. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us, because those appearing and the witnesses mentioned in this document cannot write.
