Population Register Indexes
Hello,
In my post titled, Population Registers from Wloclawek Archives, I noted that scans of the records were made available for viewing on the Poland Genealogical Society’s website Poczekalnia. The population registers are divided into various books. Some of these books contain the resident information by gmina (municipality), while others are divided by city/year. Many of these registers contain indexes for each gmina, but some of them may not. In upcoming posts, I will focus on the gminas that have indexes available and post summaries of the family surnames that I’m researching.
Another helpful article that details that Sedzin indexes can be found on Iwona Dakiniewicz’s website: http://www.ipgs.us/iwonad/artdirectory/nieszawacounty.html On Iwona’s website she lists each population register available for the Sędzin gmina and the villages that are covered. Also, Iwona included translation tips for the registers written in Polish.
