Marriage of Szczepan Pluskota and Katarzyna Cygańska (1857)

This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Szczepan Pluskota and Katarzyna Cygańska, from the Służewo parish. Any errors are completely my own.

Chrusty, No. 32, 1857

This happened in the village of Służewo on the 14th of November, 1857, at 11 a.m. We declare, that in the presence of witnesses Tomasz Sikorski, aged 59, and Andrzej Trawiński, aged 40, both farm owners residing in the village of Chrusty, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:

Szczepan Pluskota, aged 34, single, residing in Ostrowąs, his parents names are unknown, born in the village of Broniewo,

and Katarzyna Cygańska, aged 36, a widow, residing in the village of Chrusty, the daughter of the deceased couple Jakub and Katarzyna – surname is unknown, born in Prussia.

Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Służewo Parish, on the 18th and 25th of October, and the 1st of November, 1857. No impediments arose. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
