I would like to participate in Sunday’s daily blogging theme called, “Sunday’s Obituary”. Below, I have transcribed the obituary of Sylvester Tobiasz (my great uncle). The obituary was listed in the Milwaukee Journal on Wednesday, March 9, 1977. The obituary is as follows:

Sylvester J. Tobiasz

March 7, 1977, at the age of 63 years. Beloved husband of Esther (nee O’Shea) father of Rita (Jerome) Kontowicz and Anthony (Beverly) Manion, brother of Joseph (Rose), Esther, Aloysius (Eunice), Jerome (Betty) and Theresa Brazeau. Further survived by 6 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services Thurs., March 10, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home to GESU CHURCH at 10 a.m. Internment St. Adalberts. Friends may call Wed., 4-9 p.m. Parish vigil Wed. 7:15 p.m. Sgt. Lesile Knutson, Post No. 2304, V.F.W. will hold ritual Wed., 8 p.m.
