Stanislaw Tobiasz Family – Research Summary Part I

I would like to summarize the records that I’ve found so far, for my 4x great grandfather Stanisław Tobiasz. All the records are from the Kujawy area of Poland. The present day locations are in Gmina Inowrocław, and Gmina Dobre, both within Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. The information is derived from the listed records below.

1. Marriage of Stanisław Tobiasz and Agnieszka Buszka (1819).
2. Baptism of Ignacy Tobiasz (1820).
3. Baptism of Julianna Tobiasz (1822).
4. Baptism of Marianna Tobiasz (1824).
5. Baptism of Marianna Tobiasz (1826).
6. Baptism of Szczepan Tobiasz (1828).
7. Baptism of Julianna Tobiasz (1831).
8. Baptism of Andrzej Tobiasz (1833).
9. Baptism of Franciszek Tobiasz (1838).
10. Death of Agnieszka Tobiasz (1845).
11. Marriage of Stanisław Tobiasz and Petronela Trząsalska (1845).

Stanisław Tobiasz was born in the village of Łąkocin (or a near by village) (1), around 1789-1798, to his parents Jan and Jadwiga Tobiasz. He resided in the village of Dulsk (2) where he was a laborer. On September 26, 1819, in the village of Dulsk, Stanisław Tobiasz and Agnieszka Buszka were married.

During the years of 1819-1826, Stanisław and Agnieszka moved to various villages of the Góra Parish, while having three children in this time span. On July 11, 1820 they had their first child, who was named Ignacy (my 3x great grandfather), in the village of Góra (3). On April 12, 1822 they had a daughter named Julianna, in the village of Łąkocin. On October 9, 1824 they had a daughter named Marianna, in the village of Olszewice (4). Note: I haven’t found the records as of yet, but both Julianna (before 1831) and Marianna (before 1826) had passed away shortly after birth.

Before November 1826, Stanisław and family would become residents in the village of Szrubsk (5). This village was located in the neighboring parish of Parchanie. From 1826-1831, Stanisław and Agnieszka had 3 more children. On  November 28, 1826, their daughter named Marianna was born. On December 21, 1828, they had a son named Szczepan. On April 26, 1831, they had another daughter named Julianna (Józef Tobiasz was the godfather and may be Stanisław’s brother – based on records I have from the Góra Parish).

Sometime before November 1833, Stanisław and his family moved back to the village of Dulsk. Stanisław and Agnieszka would have 2 more children while residing in Dulsk. On November 3, 1833, their son named Andrzej was born. On February 18, 1838, their son named Franciszek was born.

Sometime before April 1845, the Stanisław and Agnieszka Tobiasz family moved from the Prussian village of Dulsk (or one the surrounding villages) to the Russian village of Krotoszyn (6). On April 12, 1845, Agnieszka Tobiasz nee Buszka passed away. Shortly afterward, Stanisław would marry a widow named Petronela Trząsalska on September 16, 1845.
