A village and folwark, located in the Nieszawa Powiat, gmina and parish of Lubanie. It has a brick parish church, a house of refuge for 8 elderly and sick, and distilleries in production at 24,000 silver rubles. In 1827, there were 41 homes and 314 inhabitants. Lubanie was the property of the Włocławek governing board, and one of the bishops raised a parish church here (in the 12th century) with fieldstone mixed with stone, brick arches and bay-and-gable. Despite the signs of restoration in the 16th century, the preserved original was a simple but skillfully shaped Gothic arch of the temple. The beautiful large tabernacle of the 16th century and the wall sculpture depicting St. Anna deserve attention.
The Lubanie Parish has 1520 souls (czyt. kod. dypl. pol. II, 63). The Lubanie estate passed under the property of the government, a donation in 1835 of General Arseniewa, having a breadth of 2766 mórg. The estates property includes: Kucerz, Gąbinek, Mikanowo, Siutkowo, Gąsieniec, Kawka, Osłą, Piaski, and Piekut. The Lubanie village has 33 settlements, and a land area of 1071 mórg. The village of Gąbinek has 14 settlements, and a land area of 633 mórg.
Gmina Lubanie belongs to the District Court I in Nieszawa. The post office is in Waganiec. The total land area is 15,640 mórg, in this 10,483 (dominialnych) non-peasant owned mórg, and 5,157 peasant owned mórg. The population is 4,030 heads.
