Mrs. Anna Bushman
Mrs. Anna Bushman of the Town of Sharon died Saturday at the age of 98, leaving nearly 300 direct descendants.
Her death occurred at 2:20 p m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Schulist, with whom she lived. Mrs. Bushman had been seriously ill only two days.
Born in Poland on May 18,1861, she came to the United States at the age of four with her parents, Mr. and Mrs Andrew Yach. She grew up at Polonia and was married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church there in 1878 to John Bushman.
The couple farmed in the Polonia area after their marriage Mrs. Bushman’s husband died 21 years ago and since then she had made her home with her children.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs John (Eva) Yenter, Route 2, Rosholf. and Mrs. Walter (Johannai Schulist; two sons, Adam Bushman. Polonia, and Joseph Bushman, Galloway: 46 grandchildren, 203 great-grandchildren, and 30 great great-grandchildren — a total of 283 descendants.
Preceding her in death were six daughters, four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at Sacred Heart Church, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. The Rosary Society of Sacred Heart Church, of which she was a member, will say the rosary tonight at 8 o’clock. A general rosary will be recited at 8 p m. Tuesday.
