Soldier’s Widow Dies
Mrs. Mary Gosh, widow of Jacob Gosh, Civil war veteran and pioneer farmer in the town of Hull, passed away at 1:15 o’clock this morning at Wisconsin Veterans’ Home hospital near Waupaca, following an illness with heart trouble and dropsy.
She was. 82 years of age and a native of Poland. Her maiden name was Mary Yach and her marriage to Mr. Gosh was solemnized at Polonia in the early ’70’s. They later became residents of Hull, and operated a farm there until Mr. Gosh’s, death in 1904. The widow was admitted to the Veterans’ Home seven years ago.
Sons and daughters who survive her are Mrs. Mike Worzalla of Hull, Nicholas Gosh of Minneapolis, Mrs. Leo Koboski of Mill Creek, Mrs. Thomas Palbarch of Sharon, Mrs. Charles Filtz of Hull and Felix Gosh of this city. A brother, Anton Yach, lives in Hull, John Yach in Sharon and Mrs. Bushman, sister, is also a Sharon resident.
As it was found inadvisable to remove the remains to Portage county, burial services will be conducted at the Home chapel Friday morning at 10 o’clock and the body then laid to rest in the nearby cemetery.
