Baptism of Jozef Nowak (1879)

This is my translation of the Russian language baptismal record of Józef Nowak, from the Straszewo parish.
Zakrzewo No. 8 1879
This occurred in the village of Straszewo on the 16th of February, 1879, at 10 a.m. Mateusz Nowak, age 37, an attendant in Zakrzewo, appeared in the presence of Jan Wesołowski, age 48, and Jakób Matusiak, age 46, both farmers in Zakrzewo, and showed us a male child, stating that it was born in the village of Zakrzewo on the 14th of February, 1879, at 4 a.m., to his wife Maryanna nee Pankowska, age 30. At Holy Baptism, performed this day by Rev. Skórczyński, this child was given the name Józef, and the godparents were: Wojciech Kochanowski and Jadwiga Świercz. This document was read to the declarant and witnesses, who are illiterate, and was signed by us alone.
