1.) The German name is Raduhn. It is a peasant village in Kaszuby, located in powiat Kościerzyna, by Lake Raduń. The village borders powiat Chojnice and is a distance of 3 1/2 mila* southwest of Kościerzyna. The post office is located in Dziemiany, the Catholic parish is in Leśno and the Evangelical parish is in Lipusz. The village contains 11 farm owners, an estate, and 12 crofts. Together the area was 1075 hectares (900 hectares of arable farm land, 62 hectares of meadows, and 24 hectares of forest).
In 1869, there were 24 homes and 274 inhabitants (259 Catholic and 15 Evangelical). In 1885, there were 35 homes, 65 homesteads, and 352 inhabitants (346 Catholic and 6 Evangelical). The village had a one class school (with 1 teacher and 72 students).
To the north of Raduń stretches an elevated area, 194 meters to the top of Gomonlik. In 1711, listed in the Mesznego documents, the village gave 2 1/2 bushels of rye and as much in oats (Wizyt. Szaniawskiego, str. 69). In 1772, the village and folwark (estate) belonged to Captain v. Manteuffel (ob. Zeitsch. des Westpr. Gesch. Ver., XV, str. 107). Kś. Fr.
